The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Plainwell that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing processes and requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and implement engineering changes. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixture, and process layout design. Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles for process optimization and waste reduction. Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, and automation. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues. Experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing work instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and routings. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with automation, robotics, or industrial control systems. Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software for tooling and fixture design. Familiarity with MES/ERP systems for production data analysis and reporting.
